The first step to achieve this has been the adoption of the legal status of “Società Benefit” (“Benefit Corporation*”) for Coppola Industria Alimentare Srl in Italy and the commitment to B-Corp values in the company statute. Certified B-Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.

The “Benefit Corporation” status confirms Coppola Foods’ guiding principle of running its business with a positive impact for its employees, communities and the environment, and build a more inclusive and sustainable economy locally and worldwide. Coppola Foods prime focus is on long term value creation for its brands, along its supply chain, towards the people it employs, the local communities it interacts with and the environment.
